We are excited to share the incredible makeover of a once-neglected back garden into a lush and welcoming outdoor retreat! This transformation not only beautifies the space but also enhances its usability, making it the perfect spot for family gatherings, relaxation, and enjoying nature.

Key Changes:

Garden Layout:

• The lower garden area has been expanded by an additional 2 meters into the higher section, creating a larger and more inviting patio area that’s ideal for entertaining friends and family.

Materials and Construction:

• Retaining Walls: Beautiful Islington Rustica Yellow Smeed Dean Facing Bricks (no longer available) have been used to build sturdy retaining walls. These feature weep holes every 600mm and a 100mm thick layer of shingle behind them, ensuring excellent drainage and preventing water buildup.
• Patio: We’ve laid down stunning Autumn Brown Indian Sandstone slabs (900x600mm) on a solid foundation. This includes a 100mm layer of Primary Type 1 Aggregate, topped with 40mm of sharp sand and cement, and a neat cement slurry beneath each slab for added durability.
• Decorative Features: To bring extra charm to the garden, we’ve added Cotswold decorative chippings, brightening up the entire area and creating a cheerful atmosphere.

Fencing:

• We’ve replaced all the fence panels with high-quality Green Lap Panels from @ashfencingsupplies. These not only provide security but also enhance the overall aesthetic of the garden.

Transport and Logistics:

• Given the challenges of a terraced house with narrow doors and a tricky path, we skillfully transported all materials through the house using Gorilla tubs. Each challenge was tackled with enthusiasm!

Customer Experience:

• Our project was made even more enjoyable thanks to the wonderful cooperation from our customer, who kept us refreshed with tea throughout the process. It truly was a delightful collaboration!

Overview

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of another project, delivering high-quality work that meets our client's expectations. This recent job highlights our commitment to excellence in excavation and landscaping services.

Project Highlights

• Hand Digging: The team expertly hand-dug down to a depth of 230mm, ensuring precise groundwork for the subsequent installation.
• Membrane Installation: A durable membrane was installed to enhance the longevity and performance of the subbase, providing optimal drainage and preventing weed growth.
• Subbase Preparation: We laid down a 150mm Type 1 MOT subbase, which is essential for creating a stable foundation for the paved area.
• Paving Installation: The project featured the installation of natural 50mm block borders combined with charcoal blocks for the main area, offering an aesthetically pleasing and functional finish.
